My name is Jill and I am a freelance editor living in Northwest Indiana.

I have been an avid reader my entire life. I can remember reading to my mom while she was cooking dinner. Or sitting under a tree reading the day away with my dog by my side. I found it a wonderful treat to go to the library and was always the kid with an armload of books, and grin on my face, as I left. Let’s not even talk about the school book fair!

When I am not busy working or reading, you can always find me and my husband cheering on our grandsons at any number of their sporting events. Sometimes we travel and camp at some of their BMX racing weekends or I am on the football field as the team photographer for their Pop Warner football teams.

For 20 years I worked for Reliable Parts. I worked my way up to managing a store and then as the supervisor of one of the three call centers. Along with problem solving and communicating with all different departments, I was tasked with writing training and reference material that was used by all employees throughout the company. That is when I was my happiest! Just me and words. I decided to take a leap of faith and I left my job to start a career in editing. Ferreting out those pesky grammar or spelling errors that lurk in thriller, mystery, fantasy or horror manuscripts!
